Job description

Position Overview

Sociological Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our compassionate team as a full-time remote clinician. If you are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families facing mental health challenges, addictions, and relational issues, we would be delighted to consider you for this vital role. The selected candidate will help clients on their transformative recovery journeys, providing support and evidence-based interventions.

About the Organization

Sociological Behavioral Health is a progressive mental health practice committed to empowering clients through evidenced-based therapeutic approaches. Our organization emphasizes a holistic framework that considers individual experiences and relationships. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative environment where practitioners work closely with specialists from various fields to ensure a comprehensive approach to mental health care.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote setting, allowing you to conduct therapy from the comfort of your home. You will be part of an outpatient office structure, working with a network of professionals who are dedicated to mental wellness. Our remote work model ensures that you have access to necessary resources and support while being part of a tightly-knit community of therapists who regularly engage in professional discussions and team meetings.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day will involve a variety of important tasks aimed at enhancing client outcomes:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clientsโ€™ mental health histories to identify unique challenges and to tailor individualized treatment plans.

  • Facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques, focusing on personal growth and emotional resilience.

  • Develop collaborative therapeutic goals in partnership with clients; routinely track and evaluate their progress to ensure effective treatment outcomes.

  • Deliver teletherapy options for clients who prefer virtual sessions or experience mobility challenges, ensuring equitable access to mental health resources.

  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and therapeutic progress to uphold ethical standards and comply with regulatory requirements.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development activities to elevate your clinical skills and stay informed about innovative therapy practices and trends within the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse range of clients, including couples, children, teens, and families, providing support through treatment for addiction, trauma, anxiety, and other mental health issues. We encourage applications from professionals with experience serving clients from diverse backgrounds, particularly those who can provide culturally responsive care to clients of color and the LGBTQIA community.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Possess a Masterโ€™s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

  • Hold a current, valid state-issued license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

  • Bring at least two years of full-time counseling experience in a relevant clinical setting.

Preferred Experience

While the required qualifications establish a solid baseline, candidates with additional experience working with diverse families and individuals, including those from marginalized communities, will stand out. Training or certification in evidence-based therapeutic modalities would be advantageous, particularly those focused on trauma-informed care and family dynamics.

Compensation and Benefits

This position comes with a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 โ€“ 100,000 yearly, which includes a potential sign-on bonus. Sociological Behavioral Health offers a robust benefits package including:

  • Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, and vision coverage).

  • Malpractice insurance for peace of mind while you practice.

  • Generous paid vacation and sick leave to ensure your well-being.

  • Retention bonuses as well as additional biweekly bonuses for achieving session targets or bringing in new clients.

  • 401(k) plan, flexible spending accounts, and health savings accounts to assist in financial planning.

  • Life insurance policy to provide security for your loved ones.

  • An employee referral program to encourage growth within our community.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Sociological Behavioral Health, we prioritize the professional development of our staff. You will have opportunities to attend workshops, training, and conferences to enhance your skills and knowledge, paving the way for advancement in your career. We support clinical supervision geared towards licensure, as well as opportunities for leadership roles within our organization.

Why Join Our Team
