As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day will involve a variety of important tasks aimed at enhancing client outcomes:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients’ mental health histories to identify unique challenges and to tailor individualized treatment plans.

• Facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques, focusing on personal growth and emotional resilience.

• Develop collaborative therapeutic goals in partnership with clients; routinely track and evaluate their progress to ensure effective treatment outcomes.

• Deliver teletherapy options for clients who prefer virtual sessions or experience mobility challenges, ensuring equitable access to mental health resources.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and therapeutic progress to uphold ethical standards and comply with regulatory requirements.

• Engage in ongoing professional development activities to elevate your clinical skills and stay informed about innovative therapy practices and trends within the field.

You will be working with a diverse range of clients, including couples, children, teens, and families, providing support through treatment for addiction, trauma, anxiety, and other mental health issues. We encourage applications from professionals with experience serving clients from diverse backgrounds, particularly those who can provide culturally responsive care to clients of color and the LGBTQIA community.

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Possess a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• Hold a current, valid state-issued license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Bring at least two years of full-time counseling experience in a relevant clinical setting.

While the required qualifications establish a solid baseline, candidates with additional experience working with diverse families and individuals, including those from marginalized communities, will stand out. Training or certification in evidence-based therapeutic modalities would be advantageous, particularly those focused on trauma-informed care and family dynamics.
