This position is remote, providing you the flexibility to create your own schedule while working around school hours to adequately serve our young clients. As a member of our school-based mental health team, you will engage with students remotely, staying connected through digital platforms and ensuring accessibility of mental health support during these critical formative years.

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand the mental health needs of students and develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique circumstances.
• Implement a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, focusing on developing coping strategies for clients battling issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations, while efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide holistic care and enhance the support network for students.
• Deliver educational sessions to students and their families regarding mental health awareness and the tools available for self-care.
• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment, integrating this knowledge into your practice to improve patient outcomes.

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents who face various mental health challenges. By utilizing trauma-informed care techniques, you will provide a safe and supportive environment that promotes healing and growth, helping students to overcome obstacles and thrive academically and personally.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in social work, preferably within school settings or with youth populations.
• Proficiency in solution-focused psychotherapy interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and evidence-based practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients, families, and team members.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and critical thinking skills necessary for developing effective treatment strategies.

• Experience working within school systems or with pediatric clients is highly desirable, as well as proficiency in mental health assessment tools specific to youth.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery best practices.

• Competitive salary in the range of USD 80,000 - 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
