• Conduct in-depth assessments to comprehensively evaluate clients' mental health concerns and collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques, fostering a safe and supportive healing environment.

• Engage actively with other treatment team members to track progress and modify care plans as necessary, ensuring an integrated approach to each client's care.

• Educate and empower clients' families to be actively involved in the treatment process, enhancing support systems and stability for clients.

• Maintain and document client records meticulously, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and ethical standards, as well as organizational policies.

Your work will primarily focus on clients within the hospice setting, often dealing with complex emotional, psychological, and existential challenges associated with end-of-life issues. This role requires sensitivity, empathy, and cultural competence to effectively serve a diverse population, allowing you to develop valuable insights and skills pertinent to acute mental health needs.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required, while a master's or doctoral degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant mental health counseling experience is essential to ensure you can effectively meet client needs.

• Demonstrated proficiency in various evidence-based therapeutic practices tailored to a range of mental health disorders.

• Strong therapeutic skills, including the ability to build rapport, communicate effectively, and motivate clients through their recovery journey.

• Experience in a hospice or palliative care setting is highly valuable, allowing for more nuanced understanding of grief and bereavement issues.

• Familiarity with state and federal regulations regarding mental health counseling practices.
