Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' social and emotional challenges, tailored to their unique situations.

  • Provide direct counseling services to clients and families, guiding them through complex emotional and practical issues related to life transitions and crises.

  • Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans to protect clients in urgent situations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LCSW at Empowerment Edge Counseling, you will primarily work with individuals and families experiencing a variety of life challenges including but not limited to mental health issues, trauma from domestic violence, addiction struggles, and the hardships associated with poverty. Your role is vital in helping these populations navigate their circumstances and access the critical resources they need for recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
  • Strong understanding of social and economic justice issues impacting our communities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a focus on cultural competence to effectively engage with diverse populations.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and a commitment to crisis intervention methodologies.
