• Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' social and emotional challenges, tailored to their unique situations.
• Develop and implement personalized service plans that include targeted goals, appropriate interventions, and ongoing progress evaluations.
• Provide direct counseling services to clients and families, guiding them through complex emotional and practical issues related to life transitions and crises.
• Collaborate closely with clients to identify their needs and connect them with relevant community resources and support systems.
• Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans to protect clients in urgent situations.
• Work alongside community agencies to ensure comprehensive service delivery and effective advocacy for clients’ needs.
• Participate actively in community outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness of our services and engaging with local networks.
• Contribute to team dynamics by attending case conferences and training workshops, promoting continuous learning within the organization.

As an LCSW at Empowerment Edge Counseling, you will primarily work with individuals and families experiencing a variety of life challenges including but not limited to mental health issues, trauma from domestic violence, addiction struggles, and the hardships associated with poverty. Your role is vital in helping these populations navigate their circumstances and access the critical resources they need for recovery and empowerment.

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
• Strong understanding of social and economic justice issues impacting our communities.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a focus on cultural competence to effectively engage with diverse populations.
• Proven problem-solving skills and a commitment to crisis intervention methodologies.

• Previous experience working in a social service agency or setting related to mental health and community support services.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Prior involvement in community outreach and collaborative initiatives to enhance service delivery.
