• Facilitate Group Therapy: Lead dynamic group therapy sessions to foster interaction among clients, allowing them to share their experiences and learn from one another.
• Conduct Individual Therapy: Provide one-on-one counseling that is empathetic and personalized, helping clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while equipping them with coping strategies.
• Development of Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans that address their individual needs and preferences, focusing on specific goals.
• Monitor Client Progress: Assess client outcomes using various evaluation tools and feedback mechanisms, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize effectiveness.
• Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive care, communicating regular updates and participating in case consultations.

You will primarily work with young adults aged 18 to 30 at our outpatient treatment center, employing evidence-based and holistic approaches tailored specifically for this demographic. Understanding the unique challenges faced by young adults, you will play a crucial role in their recovery journey, helping them navigate anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licensure in New York State.
• Strong foundation in mental health treatment methodologies and evidence-based practices.

• Experience working with young adults in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate group therapy sessions effectively.
• Prior work in a community health clinic or similar environment is a plus.
