As a Virtual Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass:

• Conducting thorough assessments and developing personalized treatment plans to address the specific needs of clients.
• Providing ongoing case management, advocating for clients, and linking them with community resources that can support their journey to wellness.
• Engaging in regular therapeutic sessions via telehealth platforms, utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients in overcoming their mental health challenges.
• Being available for on-call support as part of a collaborative team, including participation in emergency rotations and weekend coverage when necessary.
• Documenting patient progress and maintaining meticulous records in compliance with agency standards and state regulations.
• Participating in professional training and supervision sessions as required by the organization to enhance your skills and meet licensing requirements.

You will work with a varied clientele that includes individuals facing mental health disorders, those with intellectual disabilities, and individuals struggling with substance addiction. Our clinic serves a diverse demographic, reflecting various socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. Your cultural sensitivity and ability to engage effectively with clients from different backgrounds will be pivotal in fostering trust and achieving positive therapeutic outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state.
• A clean professional record, verified without history of medical malpractice claims.
• Authorization to work in the United States is mandatory.
