Position Overview
This Adjunct faculty member teaches Humanities courses.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes
Position Overview
  • Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Participates in departmental and College affairs
  • Develops curricula
  • Recruits students
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
  • Master's degree in Humanities: or Master's degree with a total of 18 graduate semester hours in at least three of the Humanities disciplines (Art, Dance, Literature, Music, Theatre, Philosophy, or Humanities)
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
Additional Requirements
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
