Donor Registration Specialist

Schedule (Full-Time): Varied between Monday: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Tuesday: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Wednesday: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Thursday: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Friday: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Rotating) Saturday: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Rotating) Sunday: Closed

The Donor Registration Specialist is responsible for providing exemplary customer service to donors, employees, and guests of BBD. This individual will greet donors in a warm and friendly manner. This position is considered "essential" during severe weather or emergency operation events.

  • Greet donors and complete registration process according to BBD SOPs, and AABB and FDA guidelines. Offer best in class customer service to donors to ensure wait time is kept to a minimum and walk-in donors are processed effectively without compromising donors with appointments.
  • Reschedule registered donors for future appointments per established daily goals. Play an active role in blood donor recruitment and retention initiatives by educating donors about our mission and the importance of repeat donation.
  • Answer all inbound calls and route calls to designated individual. Answer donor questions and greet visitors and vendors according to BBD expectations. Maintain the donor reception area and ensure it is clean and neat. Organize and distribute incoming faxes, copying, sort and distribute mail as needed. Also maintain supplies for the copy room. Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.
  • Exemplifies BBD's Customer Service Mission and Core Values.
  • Maintain accurate data and record for each registered donor. Performs data entry to update demographic or preference information within the donor relationship management software in use at BBD.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all donor information.
  • Makes recommendations to improve organizational processes.
  • Any related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have your own reliable vehicle
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 2+ years working in a front desk lobby environment greeting customers, the public, and guests
  • 2+ years of administrative support experience
  • 2+ years performing entry of critical data into a computer system
