Job description

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS/Echo Tech) (Per Diem)

Purpose of Position: To obtain data on the condition of the patient's heart and circulation through various electronic and mechanical means.

Description:

  • Perform Echocardiogram and write preliminary report.
  • Log and file completed procedures.
  • Regularly upgrade knowledge of techniques and regulations appropriate to the age of patients served.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through approved seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
  • Make patient appointments and insure accuracy of billing.
  • Perform EKGs, stress tests and Holter monitors as needed.
  • Perform other work related duties as requested/directed. Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner that reflects Cape Cod Hospitals' commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with at least one year specialized experience in Doppler Echocardiography.
  • Physical and mental health appropriate to the demands of the position.

Schedule Details: Per Diem Hrs, 8 or 10-hour shifts, Rot. Days/Eves, Occ. Weekends & Holidays
