Job description


The English Department is looking to establish a pool of qualified candidates for teaching assignments in English 101 and English 102 (college composition courses).
Applicable Benefits: We offer a competitive, semester by semester adjunct pay, with some tuition waivers available after semesters; sick and personal business leave; and a comprehensive Adjunct Faculty Development Program.
Responsibilities
Schedule Information: Days/evenings/weekends depending upon course schedule
The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Application can remain "Under Review by Committee" for 18 months. You may check your status at any time by logging into jobs.harpercollege.edu with your username and password.
Qualifications
Education Requirements: Master's degree or higher in English, comparative literature, rhetoric/composition, writing studies, or creative writing.
Experience Requirements: Prior teaching experience is preferred.
