Job Opportunity: Diagnostic Radiologist

Our organization is excited to announce a vacancy for a diagnostic radiologist within the radiology department. This role is affiliated with the Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group and is part of our commitment to providing exceptional healthcare.

Location

Situated in the picturesque Southern California region known as the Inland Empire, our facility is conveniently located midway between Los Angeles and Palm Springs. This prime location allows for easy access to a variety of recreational activities, including:

  • Surfing at the beach
  • Camping in the desert
  • Skiing in the mountains
  • Attending performances in Los Angeles

Additionally, there are six major airports within an hour's drive, enhancing accessibility for both staff and patients.

Ideal Candidate

The perfect candidate will have a keen interest in a diverse range of imaging studies, with mammography experience being optional. A radiology residency, which includes an integrated clinical year, commenced in July 2022. Responsibilities will also encompass:

  • Teaching radiology residents
  • Conducting quarterly lectures for family and internal medicine residents
  • Engaging in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and scholarly activities

Our department is experiencing rapid growth to accommodate over 200,000 imaging examinations annually, alongside the continuous installation of new equipment.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide a portion of the full-time call coverage, which consists of 13 weeks for fluoroscopic studies
  • Participate in weekend film readings from home
  • Share holiday coverage with the team

Currently, the coverage includes an average of 1-2 shifts per week from home, with hours ranging from 7 AM to 4 PM or 11 AM to 8 PM, and on-site responsibilities from 8 AM to 5 PM.
