What is a Weekend Radiology Technologist job?

A Weekend Radiology Technologist is a medical imaging professional who works primarily on weekends to perform diagnostic imaging exams, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. They assist physicians by capturing high-quality images to help diagnose injuries and illnesses. Weekend shifts may offer higher pay differentials and provide flexibility for those balancing other commitments.

To thrive as a Weekend Radiology Technologist, you need a background in medical imaging, anatomy, and patient care, usually backed by an accredited radiologic technologist program and ARRT certification. Familiarity with X-ray, CT, MRI, and PACS systems, as well as meeting state licensure requirements, is typically essential.
