Job description

Job Summary

The Radiology Receptionist performs clerical duties that support the operations of the Imaging department. Weekends only, Saturday & Sunday 7am-7pm.

Job Responsibilities

  • Check-in patients for appointment(s).
  • Perform clerical duties such as copying, faxing, CD imaging,
  • May perform office procedures such as referrals, X Ray scheduling, and or coordinate other scheduling activities with patient. Collaborate as needed.
  • Utilize hospital/department communication: telephone, interface messaging, and paging system appropriately.
  • Answer incoming calls from patients, medical offices, health care facilities, and other. Answer questions, and or routing to the appropriate department or person.
  • Assume information management responsibilities. Oversee Imaging received and sent, may request images to be sent. inform the healthcare team as required of images and the status.
  • Perform duties as an active member of the healthcare team including but not limited to patient transportation and patient/department relations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

  • Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Business school certificate or equivalent experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum: Medical Terminology Training
