Known for its burgeoning arts scene and rich history, Wichita is a hub of activity that offers a perfect balance of ambition and camaraderie. For those passionate about imaging and patient care, we present an incredible opportunity that aligns professionalism with personal fulfillment.
As an Imaging Technologist, you'll be at the helm of critical medical imaging processes. In this role, you won't just take high-quality diagnostic images; you'll be the reassuring presence that patients need during pivotal moments in their healthcare journey. Whether you are capturing vital scans for treatment decisions or providing comfort through your compassionate care during procedures, your contributions here will be recognized and appreciated.
Key Responsibilities
- Employ radiographic and CT techniques to deliver exceptional diagnostic images for physician review
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure precise diagnoses
- Position patients accurately and calibrate equipment for optimal imaging outcomes
- Uphold strict radiation safety protocols for patients and colleagues
- Maintain detailed records, including imaging logs and equipment upkeep
- Deliver empathetic patient care throughout the imaging experience
- Contribute to an organized and effective imaging environment
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Must be a graduate from an accredited radiology program
- Current ARRT certification in CT and/or Radiography
- Valid BLS certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Expertise in diagnostic imaging protocols and safety standards
- Strong communication skills to engage with patients and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to thrive in a high-energy environment while adapting to changing demands
- Detail-oriented and accountable mindset
- Technological proficiency with PACS, RIS, and contemporary imaging software
- Extensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision options
- Generous paid time off policies and flexible scheduling
- Opportunities for on-site continuing education and professional growth
- Paths for career advancement in imaging and cross-training in various modalities
- A supportive, values-driven workplace focused on personal and team success
- 100% on-site role within a collaborative clinical atmosphere
From Scan to Story: The Significance of Your Role
This job transcends merely producing clear images; it's about ensuring individuals feel acknowledged and valued. You might assist a child after an innocent fall or provide vital screenings for a beloved grandparent. Your calm demeanor in such moments can significantly uplift a patient's spirits, providing comfort and reassurance during challenging times.
You will also become a vital member of our dedicated imaging team, where camaraderie and mutual respect are paramount. In our CT suite, a shared commitment to excellence fosters a supportive environment that thrives on collaboration and compassion. You'll be empowered to work independently while being surrounded by a network of colleagues who value your expertise and support your growth.
The Joy of Living in Wichita
Wichita is a city where life is truly enjoyable, whether it's savoring a freshly brewed cup of coffee at a local café, strolling along picturesque riverside paths, or discovering awe-inspiring art in the galleries and theaters that adorn this cultural landmark. Known as the "Air Capital of the World", Wichita harmonizes urban energy with charming family-friendly neighborhoods that encourage a sense of community, complete with farmers markets, parks, and cozy cafes.
Besides the bustling metropolitan life, you will also appreciate the ease of living in Kansas, with a low cost of living that allows for more leisure and adventure. With a growing healthcare sector, excellent schools, and unbeatable community spirit, the prospects for career advancement and personal fulfillment are abundant.
Your Future Team
You will join a group of passionate professionals who share a commitment to exceptional patient care and professional excellence. Our imaging department thrives on collaboration and communication; you won't just be another cog in the machine here. We celebrate achievements big and small, putting patient care at the forefront of everything we do.
This role comes with a supportive structure that encourages transparency and continuous improvement. Your contributions are valued, whether you're suggesting workflow enhancements or mentoring less experienced teammates - your feedback is as welcome as it is essential.
Who Should Apply?
If you flourish in detail-oriented environments and display profound empathy, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You understand that imaging goes beyond the scan; it's about enhancing the entire experience. You navigate challenges with grace, adjusting to the natural ebb and flow of the work environment, and are driven by a desire for growth and positivity.
Bring your certification and skills; we'll provide the setting, team support, and a workplace where your utmost effort is not just welcome - it's anticipated.
Let's Make a Difference Together
If you aspire to step into a role that allows you to make a real, lasting impact while working alongside compassionate professionals, we want to hear from you. Take this opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment where patient care meets heartfelt connections.
