ChristianaCare Cecil Campus Radiology department is seeking a part-time Tech Assistant to work every other weekend.
Shift:
  • 24 hours bi-weekly evening and night shift

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The primary function is performance of tasks for the Cecil Campus Radiology Department which includes electronic image sharing, documentation, transporting patients , assisting radiology technicians and participation in physician-to-physician communication of critical imaging results.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Answer and route calls in a high imaging department and/or office.
• Obtains and uploads outside imaging studies for comparison for radiologist.
• Burn CDs, prints patients' medical imaging records.
• Connect and resolve outside images sent to the PACS system for providers.
• Mail and/or fax reports to physician offices.
• Documents communication of critical results when necessary.
• Operates computer systems and office equipment in a safe manner.
• Interacts for solution of "routine problems" as they may occur to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Interacts with patient, family members, physicians, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients, family members, physicians, and staff.
• Complies with Joint Commission regulations that are in place for critical results communication and/or other regulated results documentation.
• 24/7 coverage required in an acute hospital setting which includes weekday, and weekend coverage; a backup list requirement is initiated for the emergent staffing needs within the department.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Consistently always uses 2 patient identifiers.
• Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.
• Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
• Attends departmental meetings and in-services as required.
• Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two years related medical office experience. preferred
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
This position pays $19.10 to $26.26 based on years of relevant experience.
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
