Job Description
Rogers Group, headquartered in Nashville, TN is a 115-year-old privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company with quarry and asphalt construction operations in ten states with 3,500 employees. The company has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held crushed stone producer in the United States.
Rogers Group is seeking a Laborer/Maintenance Person for our quarry operation located in Madisonville, TN.
The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
  • Maintenance work and maintain the belt lines
  • Operating production equipment as needed - such as a haul truck, wheeled loader, or skid steer
  • General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assist with plant clean up and operations
  • Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times
  • Report equipment problems and identify them to management
  • Experience or background in millwright type work - metal fabrication, cutting, and machinery repair - is preferred.
  • Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
  • Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment
  • Ability to maintain safe working conditions
  • Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision
  • Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other
  • duties as assigned
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Must be willing to work weekends and overtime
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen
