Job description

Clay County is currently recruiting for open positions as a variable hour (part-time) Juvenile Detention Worker in the West Central Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
Application Deadline: on-going
Status: Non-Exempt
Shifts: Hiring for days, evenings, weekends, and overnights. This position will average no more than 19 hours per week
Minimum Requirements:
• High School diploma
• Valid driver's license
• At least 18 years of age
• Must be enrolled in a post-secondary program studying criminal justice, social work, psychology, education or related field.
• If not currently enrolled in a post-secondary program, you must be 21 years old
• Ability to successfully complete a background investigation.
  • Must be available to work all shifts to include: Day, evening, overnight, weekends and holidays.

Duties:
• Supervision of youth in the secure and non-secure program
• Facilitating group and individual counseling
• Providing secure transportation to and from court hearings and appointments
• Other duties as assigned
