Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst / Senior Automation Engineer
Location: Rochester, NY (Onsite- 5 days a week)
Hire Type: Contract and fulltime

 

Primary Responsibilities
Test Automation Framework Development

Design, develop, and maintain automated functional and regression test suites using Python and Squish.
Develop reusable automation libraries, utilities, and framework components to improve maintainability and scalability.
Analyze manual test cases and determine automation feasibility.
Convert manual test procedures into reliable automated test scripts.
Enhance automation frameworks to support continuous integration and future software releases.
Follow automation coding standards and best practices to ensure reusable and maintainable code.
Functional and Regression Testing
Develop and execute automated functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration test suites.
Validate software functionality against business and system requirements.
Ensure complete requirements traceability and test coverage.
Execute regression test cycles for feature enhancements, defect fixes, and software releases.
Verify software quality across multiple application versions and supported environments.
Test Environment Management
Configure, maintain, and support Windows-based automation environments.
Execute automated test suites on VMware virtual machines.
Coordinate environment readiness for nightly, weekly, and release validation executions.
Troubleshoot and resolve environment-related execution issues.
Ensure high availability and stability of automation execution environments.
Defect Management
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for automation failures and software defects.

Release Validation

Prepare release validation summaries and communicate testing status to project stakeholders.
Requirements Analysis and Documentation
Review Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), Functional Specifications, and Design Documents.
Prepare automation feasibility analysis documents.
Contribute to automation architecture and test strategy discussions.
Develop and maintain automation design documentation and execution procedures.
Participate in technical and design review meetings.
Reporting and Quality Metrics
Monitor automation execution results and overall framework health.
Prepare daily, weekly, and sprint-level automation status reports.
Analyze automation trends, defect statistics, execution success rates, and test coverage metrics.
Present quality metrics to project management and client stakeholders.
Track automation progress and recommend process improvements.
Jira Administration and Sprint Tracking
Maintain Jira dashboards and monitor sprint progress.
Track automation user stories, tasks, defects, and sprint deliverables.
Coordinate work assignments across onsite and offshore teams.
Maintain project trackers and automation execution dashboards.
Support Scrum Masters and Project Managers in sprint execution and reporting.
Team Coordination and Client Communication
Act as the primary technical liaison between onsite client teams and offshore development teams.
Coordinate requirement clarification sessions and technical discussions.
Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and provide technical guidance to team members.
Review automation deliverables to ensure compliance with project standards.
Mentor junior automation engineers and support team capability development.
