What are the typical responsibilities of a weekend QA tester, and how does the schedule differ from weekday QA roles?

Weekend QA Testers are responsible for executing test cases, documenting software defects, and verifying bug fixes primarily during weekend hours to ensure coverage outside regular business days. They often work independently or with a smaller team, providing critical support for product releases, hotfixes, or ongoing quality checks when core teams are unavailable. The weekend schedule usually involves working Saturday and Sunday, sometimes with flexible or part-time hours, making it ideal for those seeking non-traditional work arrangements.
