Mission amp; Purpose
As a FOH (Front-of-House) retail associate at townies, youโ€™re the first impression of our brand. You play a dual role in retail and food service by assisting customers, maintaining the storeโ€™s appearance, and supporting kitchen operations during busy hours. Your friendliness, attention to detail, and sense of pride in your workspace directly impact the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service amp; Food Ordering

  • Greet all customers and guide them through the pull-tab menu ordering system

  • Answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and retail products

  • Ring up food and retail purchases using a unified POS system

  • Call out orders when completed and assist with packaging when needed

Retail amp; Store Appearance

  • Restock convenience items, bakery goods, and local crafts from backstock

  • Maintain organized and attractive product displays

  • Monitor product freshness and alert kitchen or manager when low

  • Receive deliveries and organize retail storage areas

  • Assist with setting up seasonal displays or promotional setups

Cleanliness amp; Store Maintenance

  • Buss and wipe tables between guests

  • Perform regular cleaning tasks: sweeping, surface cleaning, and restocking restrooms

  • Help ensure restrooms, entryways, and self-serve areas remain clean and supplied

  • Support team with end-of-day cleaning procedures and closing checklists

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Experience: Customer service, food service, or retail experience is helpful but not required

  • Skills: Food Handler Manager Certification, strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, POS system familiarity, and basic math
