WHAT YOUโ€™LL DO:

  • Leverage a technical background to support the accurate identification, definition, communication, and resolution of project engineering challenges.
  • Act as a liaison between engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely exchanges of technical data.
  • Understand the project engineering workflow to support the development and management of multi-disciplinary schedules, including the critical path method.
  • Track and expedite project deliverables towards timely completion.
  • Evaluate resource allocation and validate the planning thereof.
  • Support project performance measurement and monitoring activities and identify risks for further attention and mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain accurate Excel tools to organize data, and to calculate metrics such as key performance indicators.
  • Generate reports and dashboards that clearly and concisely summarize topics such as project progress, including effective data visualization (e.g., charts, graphs).
  • Independently troubleshoot issues and, when appropriate, exercise good judgement to escalate problems as appropriate.
  • Track, expedite, and closeout Classification Society findings.
  • Support the project change management process.
  • Ensure proper file management, including storage, version control, and accessibility.
  • Organize and maintain project SharePoint sites in a consistent manner to ensure that the team has access to the latest project information including onboarding guides, organization charts, contact lists, etc.
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Management Team, including meeting coordination and documentation.

GROUP RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and implement project management processes to effectively plan, coordinate, execute, and closeout projects.
  • Ensure coordination between disciplines (engineering, procurement, construction, etc.) to avoid design
  • clashes, schedule conflicts, and scope misalignments.
  • Define, assign, track, and expedite project actions.
  • Support Management of Change process definition and implementation.
  • Monitor project risks and challenges, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate critical concerns to project leadership.
  • Provide accurate, timely reporting on project status, trends, and forecasts to inform decision-making and project management efforts.
  • Ensure the effective use of project management tools (e.g., the in-house tool P-EX) and promote data integrity, user adoption, and system optimization.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture by facilitating regular coordination meetings, workshops, and reviews between involved parties.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements as applicable to project management.
  • Continuously improve project processes and practices through lessons learned, feedback loops, and process refinement across projects.
  • Support overall project delivery goals by minimizing delays, reducing rework, and enhancing communication across all interface points.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering, , Mechanical Engineering, Technical, Management, or related fields
  • 2+ years of experience within an engineering environment.
  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e., advanced skills including formulas, pivot tables, graphing, data analysis,
  • and reporting).
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Outlook for communication, scheduling, and collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English. Other languages are assets.
  • A valid Driverโ€™s License.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, and PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI, or similar tools used for data management and reporting, expert level excel is a plus
  • Experience with offshore floating units (e.g., FPU, FPSO, MODU) is a strong plus.

WORK HOURS & LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires full-time on-site presence at our Houston, TX offices (77042)
  • The typical schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
