What is a weekend project coordinator?

Weekend Project Coordinators are professionals responsible for overseeing and managing projects that occur during weekends. They ensure that all aspects of a project, such as scheduling, resource allocation, and communication, run smoothly outside of regular weekday hours. Their duties often include coordinating with team members, monitoring progress, addressing any issues that arise, and ensuring project milestones are met on time. This role is critical in industries where operations or events take place over the weekend, such as construction, events, or facility maintenance.

How does a weekend project coordinator typically manage communication and collaboration with teams that may have limited availability during weekends?

As a Weekend Project Coordinator, you'll often encounter the challenge of collaborating with team members who may not be working standard hours. Effective communication is key—this usually involves setting clear expectations ahead of the weekend, leveraging project management tools to track progress, and scheduling brief check-ins or status updates at mutually convenient times. Coordinators often rely on asynchronous communication methods, such as emails or shared dashboards, to ensure everyone stays informed. Building strong relationships during the week can also help secure support and prompt responses when needed over the weekend.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a weekend project coordinator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Weekend Project Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, project management knowledge, and often a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with project management software like Trello, Microsoft Project, or Asana, as well as basic office tools, is typically required. Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities help you coordinate teams and deliver results under tight deadlines. These skills ensure projects stay on track and stakeholders remain informed, even during non-standard work hours.

Are you organized, great with people, and able to juggle multiple priorities? Do you enjoy scheduling, solving problems, coordinating people, and making sure details don't fall through the cracks?

Logan Services is looking for an HVAC Project Coordinator to coordinate residential HVAC installations from sale through completion. You'll work with customers, installers, sales, field leadership, logistics, and internal teams to keep projects on track.

You don't need HVAC experience to succeed in this role. If you have experience in customer service, scheduling, dispatch, project coordination, administration, or operations, your skills could transfer well.

Why Join Logan Services?

Since 1969, Logan Services has proudly served homeowners throughout Dayton and expanded into Columbus, Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky. We invest in our people, provide opportunities to grow, and believe in doing things the right way.

Many people join Logan looking for a job and stay because they find a career with room to grow.

What We Offer

  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Short- & Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • 100% Company-Paid Life & AD&D
  • 401(k) with 4% Company Match + Roth Option
  • PTO & Paid Sick Time
  • Bonus & Profit-Sharing Opportunities
  • Paid Training
  • Career Growth Opportunities
  • Monday-Friday On-Site Schedule
The Big Task

As an HVAC Project Coordinator, you'll be the person behind the scenes making sure residential HVAC installations stay on track.

You'll manage schedules, communicate with customers and field teams, track permits and payments, coordinate installation details, and solve problems before they become bigger problems.

If you like being the person who keeps everyone organized and knows what needs to happen next, you'll thrive in this role.

What You'll Do
  • Coordinate daily residential HVAC installation schedules.
  • Work with installers and field leadership to ensure jobs are properly prepared.
  • Monitor projects from sale through completion.
  • Coordinate installer schedules, Saturday availability, and approved time off.
  • Coordinate gas line installations from scheduling through completion.
  • Monitor permits and customer balances and partner with other departments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate customer and installation records.
  • Process paperwork, payments, permits, and required documentation.
  • Use ServiceTitan, Microsoft Office, Wells Fargo, Synchrony, and other company systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling and operational processes.
What We're Looking For

We're not necessarily looking for someone who already knows HVAC. We're looking for someone who knows how to organize, communicate, solve problems, and get things done.

You may be a great fit if you've worked as a:

  • Scheduling Coordinator
  • Dispatcher
  • Project Coordinator
  • Operations Coordinator
  • Construction Coordinator
  • Service Coordinator

You'll be successful if you're:

  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • A strong communicator
  • A problem-solver who takes initiative
  • Comfortable using computers and multiple software systems
  • Adaptable when priorities change
  • Reliable with strong follow-through
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

1-3 years of scheduling, dispatch, operations, or project coordination experience is preferred. HVAC, plumbing, construction, home services, logistics, or ServiceTitan experience is a plus but not required.

If you're organized, dependable, good with people, and willing to learn, we can teach you the HVAC side of the business.

Make an Impact at Logan

You're not just moving paperwork. You're coordinating the customer journey.

Your work helps installers have what they need, keeps schedules running efficiently, prevents problems, and ensures homeowners know what to expect.
