Job Summary
The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in coordinating construction projects from start to finish. This role helps maintain project organization, documentation, scheduling, and communication to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while supporting A.R. Mays' commitment to client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with subcontractor procurement, contracts, and purchase orders
  • Track and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Support preparation of monthly owner billing and job cost reports
  • Maintain project documentation and contract drawing updates
  • Coordinate permits, inspections, and project administrative tasks
  • Attend project meetings and distribute meeting minutes
  • Assist with project schedules, punch lists, and closeout documentation
  • Maintain organized project files and construction administration records

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • 1+ year experience as an Assistant Project Manager or similar construction role
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (experience with construction software a plus)
