Job description

9:00 A.M - 5:00 P.M
No weekends or holidays required.

Duties & Responsibilities
Overall administrative responsibility for Ambulatory Care, which includes Cancer Center, Referral Coordinating Center, Surgical Coordinating Center and Ambulatory Surgery Unit, Surgical Coordination, Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program and World Trade Center Program.
The summary of duties and responsibilities outlined below will be implemented simultaneously.
Senior administrator for the division performing major role in change management and daily operations.
Provide administrative and programmatic oversight of strategic initiatives and programs including PCMH (patient-centered medical home), ACO (accountable care organization), Collaborative Care, Chronic disease, Patient Experience and other improvement activities.
Serve as the Senior Administrator on the Ambulatory Care Triad and partner with clinical and nursing directors to support the delivery of patient care and drive improvement.
Participate in enterprise-wide Ambulatory Care Service Line.
Work closely with Clinical director, Nursing Director and Clinic chiefs to manage clinical operations and facilitate patient care.
Plan, organize, coordinate and monitor Ambulatory Care Services in collaboration with clinical, nursing, administrative, ancillary partners to insure services are rendered in an effective/efficient manner.
Active leadership role in driving patient experience and improving HCAHP scores.
Provide facility support and space management to facilitate efficient delivery of patient care.
Establish linkages with inpatient department, Finance, Nursing, Human Resources, Quality Management and other departments to insure the continuity-of-care and the efficient delivery of services hospital-wide.
Direct line management of administrative and management staff, and indirect management of other staff in division of Ambulatory Care; responsible for selecting, hiring managerial staff.
Develop, implement and monitor, with clinical and other staff, the Ambulatory Care Administrative Performance Improvement program to comply with regulatory agencies standards; participates in hospital, divisional or other committees; participates in special projects.
Review and evaluate existing outpatient programs; make recommendations for improvement and modifications; and implement provision for general administrative and support services.
Site Lead for PCMH implementation and facilitation of program standards and practice advancement.
Responsible for the clinical operations of primary care services (adult medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics and virology), and pediatrics and adult specialty services.
Responsible for the programmatic operations of WIC and WTC.
Collaborate with medical, nursing and administrative leads to drive improvements in patient experience, operational efficiencies, and staff engagement.
Oversee fiscal, quality, safety, and operational strategies to ensure compliance with Hospital policies and procedures, and regulatory/accrediting bodies in all areas of responsibility.
Participate in financial planning and reporting, sponsored projects management, and revenue cycle management.
Provide leadership to Ambulatory Care administrative team with regard to human resources management, team-based improvements, and work flow standardization.
Develop and monitor workload and revenue indicators (i.e., access, visits, cycle time, denials, outpatient referrals, etc.), analyze data, and facilitate improvement opportunities.
Promote a positive and pleasant atmosphere conducive to the workplace which enhances and furthers the Mission, Vision and Value Statement.
Mentor staff, encourage continuous improvement and support personal development through trainings and shared learning.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Ambulatory Care Clinical Director and other members of Executive Team.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration,
Business Administration or in a closely related field; and
2. Five (5) years of experience in ambulatory health care programs as a practice administrator, in hospital
administration, or as an administrator in a position of direct responsibility for operations in a health care
setting, two (2) years of which must have been in a responsible administrative, managerial or
supervisory capacity; or
3. A satisfactory equivalent of education, training and/or experience. However, all incumbents must have a
bachelor's degree and at least two years of responsible administrative, managerial or supervisory
experience, as described in "2" above.
