Job description

The SKSG Deployment & Tower Upgrade Project Manager II will lead the SKSG Deployment and Tower Upgrade team, including business development support, strategy, finance, proposal, and project activities. They will be responsible for managing field and warehouse personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, materials, and projects to obtain business and financial objectives. This role will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure that goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. The measurements required for accurate financial reporting, quotes, requests, profitability, forecasting, scheduling, and safety outcomes are critical to the performance of tower deployments and upgrades.

The ideal candidate will be capable of working in a Team environment with minimal oversight while also being able to positively follow direction and accurately track the status of assigned deployment and tower upgrade projects. The Deployment & Tower Upgrade Project Manager II will be accountable to closely comply with corporate, project, safety, production, and industry standards. Additional responsibilities include inputs to forecasting, strategy, proposals, reporting, and business reviews.

Business Management

  • Provide direction to manage the SKSG Deployment and Tower Upgrade business through the execution of activities throughout the lifecycle of the product. The management of this spans from presales to post-sales support based on the proposed strategy to minimize risk and optimize financial performance.
  • Increase proposal activities for SKSG by developing relationships with future customers, maintaining relationships with existing and past customers, and increasing the backlog of the SKSG Deployment and Tower Upgrade work.
  • Develop and report weekly financial forecasts for revenue, cost, production, and schedule
  • Establish baseline financial performance related to profit and loss through setting goals for achieving revenue projections and business growth.

Deployment and Tower Upgrade Management

  • Create and review project bids/quotes/proposals to determine budget and funding limitations, procedures, and time frame for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available manpower resources throughout various phases of the project.
  • Establish work plans and staffing approach for each phase of the project, gather necessary resources for successful completion through schedule management, allocation of current resources, recruitment of personnel and subcontractors, and procurement of materials, equipment, and rentals.
  • Manage and promote safety practices throughout work activities, enabling opportunities for continuous improvement of safety practices in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
  • Prepares and maintains job costs and other project reports on a weekly basis for management, clients, and others.
  • Negotiates subcontracts and the scope of work with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Negotiates, executes, and initiates all scope and change orders.
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and OSHA/DOT requirements at every phase of the project.
  • Works with the Team to develop closeout packages and submits project closeout in order to obtain a letter of acceptance and agreement to complete the project

Education

  • A four-year degree from an accredited college or university (required) and will accept 10 years of direct experience (2 years of experience in exchange for 1 year of education, in lieu of a degree)

Experience

  • Eight (8) years of Project Management, estimating, and financial reporting, which includes five (5) years of Construction/Business Management experience required
  • Experience managing medium to highly complex projects

License, Cert or Registration

  • Current Driver's License with a clean driving record (review and approval by SKSG insurance provider)
  • Ability to obtain a CBP Background Investigation to work on SKSG projects
  • Current OSHA-10 & 30, EM385 certifications preferred โ€“ ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Project Management Certificate (PMP Certification preferred)

Special knowledge, skills, & abilities

  • Knowledge of leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Estimating experience using Procore estimating software, Excel, or an equivalent tool
  • Experience submitting Bids, Quotes, Proposals in excess of $1M
  • Knowledge of defense and federal organizational operating practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction projects for tower systems
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions, plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Must have the ability to work long hours and some weekends, maintain a willingness to assume a high level of responsibility with a focus on progressing to larger projects
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Computer experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, , and MS Project (WBS, Resources, and Gantt Charts)
  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment, post-offer background check and drug screening
