Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator / Material Handler to support daily production operations in a fast-paced metal manufacturing environment. This position will operate production equipment, move and stage raw materials, assist with loading and unloading machines, and maintain a clean and organized production floor.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, is comfortable working with metal materials and machinery, and can safely perform physical tasks throughout the workday.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Load and unload metal materials, parts, and components from machines.
  • Move, stage, and organize raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
  • Measure, inspect, and verify materials and finished parts for accuracy and quality.
  • Read work orders, production instructions, and basic blueprints or drawings.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and material-handling equipment as required.
  • Assist machine operators with setup, changeovers, and production runs.
  • Perform basic machine adjustments and report equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance.
  • Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipment or the next stage of production.
  • Maintain accurate production and material records.
  • Keep the production area clean, safe, and organized.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
  • Perform other general production and material-handling duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in metal manufacturing, machine operation, fabrication, production, or material handling preferred.
  • Ability to operate basic production machinery or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions.
  • Basic understanding of measurements and the ability to use a tape measure.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools preferred.
