Position Overview:
The PRN Registered Nurse (RN) at Dodge State Prison in Chester, GA provides flexible, as-needed clinical coverage and plays a critical role in delivering patient care and supporting overall clinical operations. This position requires strong clinical judgment, independence, and the ability to integrate quickly into an established team.
Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients
โ€ข Administer medications, treatments, and perform assessments
โ€ข Responding to clinical needs and emergent situations
โ€ข Collaborate with providers, mental health staff, and nursing team
โ€ข Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with protocols
โ€ข Support continuity of care across shifts
Qualifications (Required):
โ€ข Active RN license in Georgia or compact license (must be in good standing)
โ€ข Current CPR certification (must be active)
โ€ข Required experience in one or more of the following: Behavioral Health, ER, Med-Surg, or Correctional Healthcare

PRN Requirements:
