    Position Summary:

    The Registered Nurse (RN) โ€“ Medical/Surgical (PRN) provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical/surgical setting. The RN assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records. This position functions as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct patient care to assigned medical/surgical patients.
    • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
    • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and response to treatment.
    • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
    • Educate patients and families on health conditions, post-discharge care, and wellness promotion.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
    • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
    • Respond effectively to emergency situations and perform basic and advanced life support as needed.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Nursing).
    • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
    • Certification:ย Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
    • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
    • Skill:ย Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
