Registered Nurse – PRN (nights) 8:00 PM– 8:30 AM
Empath Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Care Center team. In this PRN role, you’ll provide skilled nursing care to patients with life-limiting or complex illnesses, supporting families and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. This position is PRN Day Shift (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM) with flexible scheduling.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide skilled nursing care, assessments, and individualized care plans for patients
  • Administer, monitor, and document medications and treatments following best practice guidelines
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, physicians, and families to coordinate care and evaluate patient progress
  • Apply palliative care and end-of-life principles with compassion and professionalism
  • Supervise and support LPNs and Home Health Aides as needed
  • Promote patient safety and adhere to infection control and Care Center policies
Position Requirements
  • Active Florida RN license and CPR certification (American Red Cross or AHA)
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; experience with terminally ill, chronically ill, or acute/post-acute care preferred
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and care coordination skills
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, standing, walking, and bending
  • Flexibility to work at alternate facilities as needed
