Packaging Manufacturer (Film Printing)

We’re recruiting for an experiencedPrinting Press Operatorto join an established Film Printing Packaging Manufacturer in Phoenix, AZ.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing production business operating wide web printing presses, producing high-quality printed film in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with strong focus on quality, efficiency and uptime.

What You'll Do

  • Operate wide web printing presses for film production
  • Print film widths ranging from 20” to 59”
  • Set up presses for production including installing plates and configuring jobs
  • Ink presses, load film rolls and adjust machine settings to specification
  • Monitor press operations to ensure quality output and consistent performance
  • Identify and correct film tears, jams and production issues
  • Make real-time adjustments to reduce waste of film and ink
  • Perform preventative maintenance on printing equipment
  • Ensure ink and film materials meet required specifications
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Printing Press Operator
  • Strong understanding of solvent inks in surface and lamination printing
  • Experience with high-end process color printing
  • Ability to set up presses based on job history and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of color management tools
  • Experience troubleshooting and adjusting press performance
  • Ability to train and supervise press helpers
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and perform manual handling tasks throughout shift
