Industrial Maintenance Technician II | Waukesha, Wisconsin, United States
Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician II
Location: Waukesha, WI 53188
Duration: Temp to Perm
Pay: $20-$24/hr (W-2)
Shift: 3rd Shift, Mon-Fri, 10 PM - 6 AM (hours may vary; OT required)
Overview:
Entry-level maintenance role supporting production and facility equipment in a manufacturing environment. Responsible for basic troubleshooting, inspections, and preventive/predictive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, and minor repairs. Also supports data collection for predictive maintenance (oil, vibration, ultrasound, thermography).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspections (chains, sprockets, motors, gearboxes, bearings)
  • Execute preventive/predictive maintenance via CMMS
  • Perform lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, minor repairs
  • Support predictive maintenance analysis and corrective actions
  • Inspect and receive lubricant deliveries
  • Recommend maintenance improvements
  • Use tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintain schedules
  • Follow safety protocols (LOTO, PPE, hazard analysis)

Minimum Requirements:
  • 0-2 years industrial maintenance experience OR 2-year relevant degree

Additional Requirements:
  • Pass substance abuse test; no U.S. work sponsorship
  • Must obtain site security badge
  • Flexible for shifts, weekends, and overtime

Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 50 lbs; frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching
  • Extensive walking; repetitive wrist movement
  • Use utility knife; ability to distinguish wire colors
  • Maintain professionalism in high-stress situations

Other Requirements:
  • Use PPE (steel-toe shoes, gloves, hard hat, etc.)
  • Ability to handle job-related stress and maintain performance
