Job Description

The Maintenance Technology Specialist (Support Admin) plays a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency and reliability of equipment and systems by providing advanced diagnostic support. This position is responsible for analyzing maintenance data, identifying root causes of equipment failures, and recommending corrective actions to improve asset performance and reduce downtime. This role is essential in improving fleet reliability and supporting predictive maintenance strategies across the transportation network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • Fleet Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
    • Monitor and analyze vehicle telematics, onboard diagnostics (OBD), and maintenance records to identify performance issues.
    • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to assess system health and recommend maintenance actions.
    • Utilize diagnostic software and OEM tools to assess vehicle health and recommend corrective actions.
  • Data Analysis & Predictive Maintenance:
    • Interpret sensor data, fault codes, and maintenance logs to detect patterns and forecast potential failures.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Technical Support & Collaboration:
    • Act as a technical liaison between fleet operations and maintenance personnel.
    • Provide training and support on diagnostic tools and procedures to maintenance personnel.
  • System & Process Optimization:
    • Recommend updates to maintenance procedures based on diagnostic findings.
    • Assist in the implementation of condition-based and predictive maintenance programs.
    • Support integration of new diagnostic technologies and systems.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in training and/or logistics/supply chain management required.
  • Previous maintenance support experience preferred.
  • Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
