Job description

Summary:

This position is located in high mix, low volume toolroom environment with focus on precision grinding processes for manufacturing machine components and workholding products. Machinist will be expected to setup and operate manual grinding machines such as OD/ID grinders, reciprocating surface grinder, rotary surface grinder, thread grinder and center lap. Responsibilities include proper wheel selection and associated feeds and speeds, workpiece fixture setup, machine operation and part inspection using appropriate measurement devices. Must be able to read part drawings, understand tolerances and finish specifications. Highly supportive environment with opportunities for growth into precision assembly of customer workholding products for gear generation.
