This position plays an important role in producing mission-critical precision components where consistency, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are essential. You'll work alongside experienced machinists using advanced grinding equipment to manufacture parts that support some of the world's most demanding industries.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Set up and operate CNC OD and ID grinding machines
  • Perform precision cylindrical grinding on complex components
  • Grind between centers and perform chucking OD and ID grinding
  • Operate non-round grinding processes when required
  • Perform conversational CNC programming and program adjustments
  • Complete multi-tool grinding setups
  • Read blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings
  • Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
  • Troubleshoot issues involving size, finish, geometry, and machine setup
  • Protect customer-owned material and minimize scrap
  • Accurately track production through job clock-in/clock-out procedures
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance and production teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department
