Job Summary:
This role demonstrates proficiency across software engineering practices with advanced specialization in Power Platform engineering and operational support, while contributing to Azure cloud platform reliability.
This position is primarily responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Power Platform solutions - including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio - while also contributing to the reliability, stability, and operational support of the enterprise Power Platform environment and Azure-based cloud services. The role will partner closely with development, DevOps, and platform teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, easily maintained, and highly available.
The candidate will take operational ownership of supported platforms, contribute to issue resolution and continuous improvement, and help ensure service levels are defined, measured, and achieved.
Mentors less experienced team members and may lead smaller initiatives or workstreams.
Job Responsibility:
  • Plans, designs, develops, and supports software systems and platform solutions, including Power Platform applications and cloud-based services.
  • Designs, builds, and supports solutions using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven), Power Automate (Cloud and Desktop), and Dataverse to meet business and operational needs. Administration and support of the Power Platform environment.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves production issues across Power Platform solutions, including applications, automations, integrations, and data models.
  • Supports application lifecycle management (ALM) practices, including solution packaging, deployment, and environment governance.
  • Implements and maintains security, data integrity, and compliance standards across supported platforms.
  • Contributes to Azure cloud platform reliability by troubleshooting infrastructure and platform issues across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS environments.
  • Participates in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance platform stability and performance.
  • Works with observability and monitoring tools (especially Dynatrace) to identify and resolve performance and availability issues.
  • Supports Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation initiatives using tools such as Terraform and Ansible to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborates with development and product teams to support deployments, troubleshoot issues, and improve system resilience and scalability.
  • Owns operational responsibilities, including defining and meeting service-level objectives (SLOs) such as availability, latency, and incident resolution.
  • Breaks down complex work into actionable tasks, tracks progress and provides status updates.
  • Reviews code, contributes to technical design discussions, and helps guide engineering standards and best practices.
  • Mentors less experienced engineers and contributes to knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways and anticipates potential risks or operational challenges.

External Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in Engineering, Software Engineering or similar field OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 7 years of experience in Engineering, Software Engineering or related field
  • Experience writing code for moderate to complex online applications, microservices or mobile applications or deployment automation
  • Experience with programming languages for online applications, microservices or mobile applications or deployment automation
  • Experience designing/building moderately complex applications
  • Experience writing automated test scripts
  • Experience creating coding/scripting solutions to fix complex problems/issues
  • Experience engaging and the executive level
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.

  • Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Power Platform governance, including environment strategy, DLP policies, security models, and managing a Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE).
  • Background in Virtual Network support, including VNet-injected environments for secure connectivity and controlled egress.
  • Proficient with Dataverse Web API and/or Dataverse SDK for .NET, including scripting and automation with tools like PowerShell for administration and auditing tasks.
  • Experience supporting Azure cloud services and troubleshooting distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Dynatrace or similar platforms.
  • Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with APIs, databases, or enterprise systems.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers.
