Job Title: Forklift Material Handler
Job Type: Full-time, 1st Shift (6:00am-4:30pm)

Position Summary:
The Forklift Material Handler is responsible for safely moving raw and finished materials throughout the facility to ensure production lines are properly supplied and operations run efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with Supervisors to ensure workstations are properly staged with necessary materials (e.g., parts, hardware, etc.).
  • Safely move raw and finished parts to their next required location or department.
  • Review job travelers accurately to determine correct material routing.
  • Load and unload raw materials from vendor trucks as needed.
  • Operate industrial forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials throughout the shop.
  • Record quantities of materials received, moved, or distributed accurately.
  • Stage required materials line-side to keep machining centers supplied and production flowing efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
  • Forklift operation: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Warehouse: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Epicor ERP: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
Skills & Competencies:
  • Must be able to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
  • Use of PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection required.
  • May involve repetitive tasks and physical activity throughout the shift.
  • Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required to meet production demands.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery and measuring equipment.
