Memorial Hermann Surgery Center, Woodlands Parkway is hiring a PACU Registered Nurse PRN

No Weekend, No Holiday, No Call!

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center, Woodland Parkway is seeking a motivated RN PACU to join our team. We have 4 OR rooms and 1 treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedics, Neurology, ENT, Pain Management, Podiatry, Plastic Surgery. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day. 

  • Deliver compassionate, efficient care to patients in the immediate post-anesthesia phase
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications following surgery
  • Manage airway, pain control, and vital signs until patients meet discharge criteria
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly
  • Administer medications and respond to changes in patient status using sound clinical judgment
  • Provide patient education and post-op instructions to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and fellow RNs to ensure seamless transitions of care
  • Adhere to infection control and patient safety standards at all times

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the state of Texas, in good standing
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS a plus)
  • 1–2 years of experience in Pre-Op, PACU, or perioperative nursing preferred
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient setting is a plus
