POSITION: Portfolio Analyst

Location: On-site Position in Fort Lauderdale - HQ

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Portfolio Analyst will play a key role in supporting Sound Income Group's daily back-office investment operations. This position is responsible for executing trades, managing liquidations, performing account rebalances, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all trading activities. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, the analyst will collaborate closely with internal teams and financial advisors nationwide to maintain portfolio integrity and deliver exceptional client service. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the firm's trading strategy while supporting its mission to help investors achieve sustainable, income-focused results.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily input of trades, liquidations, cash blocks, and any other account action to allocate funds to the requested portfolio model for new and existing clients at a high volume
  • Daily input of trades with strict constraints to the clearing firm platforms
  • Process daily liquidation requests
  • Interface with Operations Dept to ensure proper paperwork and clear instructions for accurate trade entry are available
  • Help Portfolio managers with analyzing Security Performance and Pricing
  • Help other SIS team members with ad hoc projects
  • Prepare Internal and External Reports
  • Communicate & support our Financial Advisors across the US
  • Deliver reports and updates requested by the COO, CIO, CCO, CEO, Representative, or Manager

Requirements


Must-Have Qualifications

Background and Education:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in wealth management, finance, or business preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related work experience
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to learn and adapt to change
  • Desire/ability to work successfully in a small team environment

Technology Expertise:

  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Prior experience with 3rd party trading software; Orion, Fidelity, Schwab
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to work for extended periods at a desk using a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds if/when necessary.
  • Routine use of telephone and email.
  • Office-based role with potential travel to conferences, events, and satellite offices as needed.
