Position Overview:

V&E Hospitality Group is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Utility Porters. The Utility Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities, ensuring that our guests have a safe and enjoyable experience. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cleaning and Sanitization:Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting common areas, restrooms, and dining spaces.
  2. Trash Removal:Empty trash bins and recycling containers, replace liners, and dispose of waste in a hygienic and environmentally responsible manner.
  3. Restroom Maintenance:Monitor and clean restrooms regularly, replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
  4. Floor Care:Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors by mopping, waxing, and buffing as necessary.
  5. Light Maintenance:Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department and assist in minor repairs or adjustments as directed.
  6. Event Setup:Assist in setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, and equipment for events, meetings, or special occasions.
  7. Stocking Supplies:Ensure that cleaning supplies, restroom supplies, and other essentials are well-stocked and readily available.
  8. Teamwork:Collaborate with the cleaning and maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  9. Back of House:If applying for the back of house utility porter position, the following responsibilities may be required:
  10. Dishwashing:Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
  11. Kitchen Cleaning:Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area by regularly emptying trash, cleaning food preparation areas, and ensuring equipment is clean and in good working order.
  12. Utensil and Equipment Sorting:Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in an organized manner for easy access by kitchen staff.
  13. Assist Kitchen Team:Provide support to kitchen staff as needed, including helping with food preparation and basic kitchen tasks during busy periods.
