Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Food Processing Team Members to join a growing food manufacturing operation. This position plays a key role in the production and packaging of pork products while maintaining strict quality, food safety, and production standards.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a refrigerated environment, can perform repetitive production tasks, and is willing to work overtime and weekend schedules as needed. Previous manufacturing, food production, warehouse, or assembly line experience is preferred but not required.

Shift: 2nd Shift (Training will primarily take place during the week on 1st Shift)

Overtime: Employees should expect significant overtime, including weekends, after the training period.

Responsibilities
  • Arrange bacon and pork products according to production specifications
  • Press and prepare pork bellies for processing
  • Hand-pack products on a fast-paced assembly line
  • Stack finished cases and prepare products for shipment
  • Rotate through various production workstations as assigned
  • Follow all food safety, quality, and sanitation procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Adhere to company safety policies and production standards
  • Assist with other production duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout a 10.5-hour shift
  • Ability to work in refrigerated temperatures for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work full-time, overtime, and weekends as required
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
    Work Environment
    • Refrigerated food manufacturing facility
    • Wet and potentially slippery floors
    • Fast-paced production setting
    • Required PPE includes hearing protection, eye protection, hard hat, lab coat, slip-resistant footwear, and protective gloves
