Quality Assurance Analyst

AssuranceAmerica is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our growing ranks as we continue to transform the way technology impacts the insurance business. You will work with a small team of experienced IT professionals and interface directly with stakeholders to understand their challenges and develop solutions. Your daily contributions will have direct, positive impacts on our employees, agents, and customers.

Our application portfolio contains both packaged and custom-developed applications in a Microsoft environment on various platforms. You will be responsible for testing and ensuring the quality of this portfolio by writing test cases and scripts, running manual tests, and documenting results.

About the ROLE

Each day at AssuranceAmerica is different, but as Quality Assurance Analyst in Information Technology, you will:

  • Maintain full knowledge of the Policy system and understand its features and functionality
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and develop clear requirements and documentation
  • Review product requirements and designs for quality and testing needs
  • Define scope, objectives, and deliverables of the test effort
  • Identify opportunities to increase usage of automated testing
  • Create and maintain test cases and test plans
  • Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression and performance testing
  • Work with development teams to uncover functional and/or performance issues
  • Provide resource planning, management, and resolution of issues that impede the test effort
  • Evaluate performance of new releases to ensure consistent quality
  • Analyze and monitor data to identify potential areas for concern
  • Organize work schedule to achieve timely processing of all responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, quality, and testing timelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

    • Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
    Preferred
    • Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
    • 2+ years' experience within the insurance or financial services industry
    • Previous experience in a Business Analyst role
    • SQL query writing
    • Exposure to performance or load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
    Physical Requirements
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
    • May be required to work on-call, evenings, or weekends
