Plant Manager
Location: Fort Atkinson, WI
Schedule: Full-Time | Exempt

At Opportunities, Inc., we believe meaningful work creates meaningful opportunities. We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at our Fort Atkinson manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for overseeing production, safety, quality, staffing, employee engagement, and operational performance across a multi-shift manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strong presence on the production floor, the ability to develop and coach leaders, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement while maintaining a safe, productive, and positive workplace culture.
What You'll Do
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations across multiple shifts
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to Production Facilitators, Supervisors, and production teams
  • Drive safety, quality, productivity, and customer service performance
  • Develop and execute staffing, training, and workforce development plans
  • Analyze operational metrics and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Human Resources, and other departments to support operational success
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and employee engagement
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and customer expectations
  • Support production needs through flexible scheduling, including occasional off-shift and weekend presence

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, Industrial Management, or a related field required; Masters degree preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-shift teams, supervisors, temporary labor, and diverse employee populations.
  • Strong knowledge of production operations, safety, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to report plant KPIs honestly, analyze performance gaps, escalate risk, and lead corrective action without misrepresentation or selective omission.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing business systems
  • Experience leading diverse workforces and fostering an inclusive workplace culture preferred
