Job description

We are looking for energetic, highly motivated employees to help bring smiles to our patient's faces!  We offer State Retirement and PAID Medical Benefits for Full Time employees!  

  • Must be available to work Weekends and Holidays.   
  • Position will work 2nd shift primarily but should be open for flexible scheduling
  • Proof of Completed High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to pass a full State Government background check
  • Part Time Employees also benefits eligible!


Security

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information


Experience and Education Requirements:

  • High school education or GED equivalent (Diploma or Transcripts required)
  • Experience in commercial food service operation or other service related work experience is required.



Job Duties

1.  Completes and maintains all job performance requirements and standards as outlined in Career Ladder Program and Position Time and Duties.

 2.  Maintains all standards as required in Disciplinary Points Section of Career Ladder Program. 

3.  Performs established procedures in preparation of equipment and food for patient trayline. 

4.  Serves on patient tray assembly line in assigned position according to established schedule, time and duties. 

5.  Delivers and picks up patient tray carts on each floor according to established policies and procedures. Delivers late trays in timely manner. 

6.  Participates in breaking down trayline and cleaning as outlined in time and duties. Collects, processes, and disposes of trash from patient trayline and dishroom. 

7.  Performs warewashing procedures for patient and cafe trays. Sorts, stacks and returns flatware, china and trays to proper location for next meal. 

8.  Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings. Attends meetings as required. 

9.  Alerts supervisor of any issues with patients, equipment or food. 

10.  Monitors and documents equipment temperatures according to established procedures, time and duties. 

11.  Assures patient safety by verifying patient's name and room number on menu. Alerts Nursing Services if menu and name on door do not correspond. 


**Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.
