The Opportunity

Work alongside cryptographers, mathematicians, and physicists in support of all quantum information sciences. Use systems architecture, network engineering, or software development skills to implement post‑quantum cryptography (PQC) solution architectures across a variety of reference architectures. Transition products, systems, and environments to post‑quantum standards. Apply operating system and network configuration expertise to analyze advanced PQC methodologies, promote cutting‑edge analysis, and ensure the safety of information system assets. Oversee and support documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation processes necessary to comply with information assurance (IA) and security requirements.

Qualifications
  • Experience as a PQC scientist or engineer
  • Experience leading and managing small projects
  • Experience evaluating trust architectures and cryptographic approaches
  • Experience with software development, cybersecurity, or network engineering
  • Experience with programming in Python, Rust, or C++ and low‑level programming concepts
  • Knowledge of secure network protocol software, public key infrastructure, and the services that use them
  • Ability to develop technical documentation to support accreditation efforts using information security, including systems and network security
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a varied audience
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science
Nice If You Have
  • Experience with cloud architectures and key management strategies
  • Experience with Linux and Windows fundamentals
  • Experience with hardware Trusted Compute architectures
  • Experience implementing and maintaining security controls across server‑based environments

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). This range is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package and is determined by factors such as location, education, skills, and experience.
