Salary:

Summary:

Young Living is seeking a self motivated, detail oriented, and results driven Manufacturing Engineer II to lead and execute process improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for owning investigations, driving corrective actions, and delivering measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost. This individual will work directly with production, maintenance, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and ensure successful implementation of engineering solutions.


Essential Functions

  • Ensure that manufacturing processes follow all applicable laws and regulations
  • Lead investigations into equipment failures, material issues, procedural issues, and process problems, and drive root cause identification through implementation of corrective actions
  • Own and lead small to mid size engineering projects from concept through implementation, including scope definition, execution, and results tracking
  • Identify, prioritize, and independently drive process improvement initiatives that impact quality, efficiency, and cost
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to batching, filling, and packaging processes, including optimization of equipment settings and process parameters
  • Analyze production and quality data to identify systemic issues and implement sustainable solutions
  • Integrate materials, equipment, and process changes to improve overall manufacturing system performance
  • Plan and execute production trials, pilot runs, and process validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ
  • Write and execute test protocols, engineering reports, and documentation including risk management, control plans, and validation activities
  • Lead cross functional initiatives involving Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to improve process reliability and operational performance
  • Support and lead new product introduction activities and ensure successful transition into production at scale
  • Evaluate process and equipment improvement opportunities and support implementation with a focus on scalability and efficiency
  • Present project updates, findings, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean principles to reduce defects, downtime, and operational waste
  • Accountable for delivering measurable improvements in throughput, defect reduction, and overall operational efficiency
  • Expected to operate with minimal supervision and make independent decisions within defined project scope


Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong root cause analysis and problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to implement solutions
  • Ability to independently manage and execute engineering projects
  • Strong data analysis skills with ability to translate findings into actionable improvements
  • Effective cross functional collaboration and communication
  • Experience driving measurable process improvements
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field
  • 2 to 5 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience
  • Demonstrated track record of independently owning and resolving production issues
  • Experience implementing process improvements that resulted in measurable outcomes


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience with filling, packaging, or batching processes
  • Experience with validation activities and documentation
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles


Supervisory Responsibility:

This job does/does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment:

This role operates in a distribution center environment. The role may involve occasional presence in an office setting but will primarily be embedded in a warehouse or logistics operation. Noise levels may be moderate to loud, and exposure to powered industrial equipment and frequent movement is expected

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an 3060-minute lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Employees are also expected to work at least one non-convention farm event a year and to work at the annual company convention.

Exact hour requirements can be reasonably modified as necessary for the business needs by the employees manager.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50lbs. Exposure to warehouse conditions including varying temperatures and scents from essential oils may occur.
