Weekend Pay information

What is the 70 30 rule in hiring?

The 70/30 rule in hiring typically refers to allocating 70% of the interview process to assessing technical skills and 30% to evaluating cultural fit or soft skills. For jobs like weekend pay roles, this balance helps ensure candidates are both capable of performing the job and aligned with company values.

What should I expect in terms of scheduling and team collaboration when working a weekend pay position?

In a weekend pay position, you can expect your shifts to primarily fall on Saturdays and Sundays, often with hours that may start early in the morning or extend into the evening, depending on the industry. Team collaboration is usually streamlined, as weekend teams tend to be smaller and may require you to take on a broader set of responsibilities or communicate closely with fewer colleagues. It's important to be adaptable and proactive in problem-solving, as weekend staff often handle urgent issues with limited access to weekday support resources. Regular check-ins and clear documentation are common practices to ensure smooth handovers with weekday teams.

What does 'Weekend Pay' mean in a job listing?

'Weekend Pay' refers to additional compensation or higher hourly rates that employees receive for working shifts during the weekend, typically Saturdays and Sundays.
