Job description

Job Purpose

Accurately create templates used to mass-produce furniture using freehand techniques.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately create templates for furniture by hand.
  • Modify or correct current patterns to meet production and sales needs.
  • Meet goals and deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Sales teams to design new styles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Working Conditions

  • Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience: Pattern-making experience.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in furniture manufacturing hand pattern making.
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred Education: High School Diploma.
  • Physical & Environmental Requirements
    • Ability to read and interpret design models and blueprints.
    • Accurately measure and cut patterns in desired materials.
    • Good vision and excellent fine motor skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
    • Safe operation of various hand and power tools.
    • Basic math skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Stand/walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
    • Availability for weekends and overtime.
    • Reliability and positive attitude.
    • Ability to wear required PPE (safety glasses, closed-toe/heel shoes).
    • Adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
