Job description

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for an Industrial Painter role in Sherwood, OR. Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers as required.
· Mix and apply industrial coatings, paints, and finishes using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers according to specifications.
· Operate, monitor, and maintain painting and coating equipment to ensure consistent, high-quality finishes.
· Inspect finished products for defects, thickness, coverage, and overall quality, making corrections as needed.
· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
· Load, unload, and move materials or finished products while ensuring proper handling and storage.
· Accurately document paint usage, batch numbers, and job details for quality and inventory tracking.
· Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
· Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of paint booths, tools, and equipment.
· Promptly report equipment issues, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience as an industrial or manufacturing painter is preferred.
· Familiarity with industrial coatings, surface preparation methods, and spray equipment is a plus.
· Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a production environment.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
· Ability to follow written instructions, technical specifications, and safety guidelines.
· Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
· Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings or weekends, as required.
