Production Specialist III: Customer Logistics Specialist

Job Description

As Customer Logistics Specialist, you will support the packaging, labeling, and shipment of customer orders, along with monitoring delivery status, troubleshooting issues with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records.

In the bigger picture, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships with customers and internal stakeholders and delivering the highest-quality service across construction environments that are continually changing, dynamic, and uncertain. This requires an obsessive commitment to understanding customers' and colleagues’ values, immediate and evolving needs, and preferences, to enable them to maximize success on each project and across their broader project portfolio and enterprise.

Overall, the role demands drive, grit, perseverance, and an abundance mindset to navigate and excel in the perpetually challenging environments where we and our customers operate.

Key Responsibilities

This position involves the following responsibilities.

  • Daily Packaging & Shipping: Pull requested items, apply order/product stickers,

securely package inventory, and prepare packing slips.

  • Labeling & Tracking: Generate shipping labels and tracking numbers, update the Excel

Order Tracker, and ensure shipping details are accurate.

  • Customer Communication: Notify customers with tracking information, provide timely

updates, and respond to inquiries.

  • Carrier Coordination: Communicate with third-party delivery systems to resolve

delays, damages, or missing shipments; follow up until resolution is complete.

  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track incoming/outgoing shipments daily, post updates in the

internal icomm-channel, and maintain comprehensive logs of package statuses.

  • Recordkeeping: Maintain organized digital and physical records of packing slips,

tracking logs, addresses, and delivery documentation.

  • Process Improvement: Participate in SOP reviews and propose improvements for

packaging, shipping, and reporting workflows.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years of age
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office and productivity applications
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and data accuracy
  • Confident problem-solver with ability to diagnose shipping or order issues quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, and customer-service oriented
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Availability for flexible scheduling (nights, weekends, and holidays as needed)

Preferred

• Experience in shipping, logistics, or inventory management

• Familiarity with Windows, File Explorer, and label-printing software

• Customer service experience in a logistics or operations environment

Additional Information

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this ranges from $19.00 to $23.00 per hour. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and jobsite upon which work is being performed, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience.
