PACU/Short Stay Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate PACU/Short Stay Registered Nurse to join our team. This role primarily involves working within the Recovery room and the Short Stay/MPU pre-op and post-op care areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in the PACU and Short Stay departments.
  • Monitor patient recovery post-anesthesia and manage post-operative care.
  • Assist in pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Job Requirements:
  • Must have a valid vehicle for transportation to different units as required.
  • Ability to float to other units based on skill set and patient care needs.
  • Willingness to be on call once per week and cover one weekend per four-week schedule.
  • Expected patient ratios of 1:2-3.
Work Schedule:

This position involves a flexible schedule with:

  • 1 shift per week in Recovery.
  • 2 shifts per week in Short Stay.
Additional Information:
  • Parking is provided at no cost.
  • No block scheduling is required.
  • Charting is completed using the Epic system.
